KnowMyHire.com is defined as a Consumer Reporting Agency (“CRA”) that compiles reports for authorized employers and landlords in accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (“FCRA”). Therefore, data is only collected with the consumer’s written authorization and/or disclosure. Information collected and compiled is reported directly to the employer and/or landlord as specifically stated in the written authorization. All data is the property of the consumer and is stored in a secured site. Every effort is made to secure the privacy of the consumer.

Interested parties are provided the opportunity to send an email to express interest in our services or to obtain further information. The information submitted is at the complete discretion of the interested individual. KnowMyHire.com does not utilize any passive techniques to collect data.

No information provided to this site in is ever released, sold, or shared with any outside party. The information collected is used to respond to inquiries about services and to offer other services that we believe may be of interest.
On-Line Ordering System
KnowMyHire.com offers an on-line ordering system that is provided as a convenience to our existing clients. This system is used as a tool for authorized users to transmit orders and receive reports. Transmissions are between KnowMyHire.com, vendors, and clients who have established a permissible purpose for the information provided in accordance with the FCRA.
Our on-line technology is structured to shield personally identifiable information by requiring clients and employees to use appropriate passwords to access our system. Information transmitted through the on-line ordering system is protected through secure access and 128-bit SSL encryption. The consumer’s privacy is fully protected. KnowMyHire.com has integrated appropriate physical, electronic, and internal procedures to safeguard and help prevent unauthorized access, maintain data security, and correctly use the information we collect. Each employee of KnowMyHire.com must pass a thorough background check and any employees who have access to any data transmitted through this site have signed privacy agreements. All waste paper documents are shredded on-site and modern security equipment is used to monitor all entrances to our premises.
Storage of Information
No opt-out provision is available for consumer’s who have authorized a participating organization to obtain their information. Once the consumer has given consent to have this information compiled, KnowMyHire.com is required by the FCRA to store the data for a minimum of six (6) years.
The consumer is the owner of information pertaining to him/her and may have the right to review and/or object to the data. These rights are provided by the Federal Trade Commission and may be reviewed on their website (www.ftc.gov). The publication is entitled, “Summary of Your Rights”.
Disclosure of Information
KnowMyHire.com will disclose stored information when required to do so by law, for example, in response to a court order or a subpoena. We also may disclose such information in response to a law enforcement agency’s request.
